HTML Bootstrap to WordPress Conversion for Spa Website

Posted on Posted in Bootstrap (Responsive), Web Development, WordPress

This website started as a responsive Bootstrap site and was converted to WordPress, with a blog and a front page with sections to display pricing, products, etc.

This conversion was done with the assistance of a course by Chris Dixon.

I would like to point out that these sections were created with an app called Advanced Custom Fields.

When I was just a WordPress dabbler, not really knowing what I was doing but sort of stumbling by to get what I wanted on the page for my own websites, I started using plugins for custom fields that would create the nifty sections that we see on so many websites (such as the homepage of the site you are reading now.)

It partitioned the page into deliberate sections and I liked that flexibility but I always found them quite tricky to use with any sense of finesse.

My point in mentioning this is that sometimes you can muddle through something and get it to work alright, but looking back I wish I had just hired someone to set them up for me. It is really the setup that takes time and once that is complete, it works quite well and is easy for someone without coding experience to use.

So if you are interested in a site that has sections, I can help you set that up. Use the contact page to send me a message about this.
